HISTORY

Thexposure Studio is an experience unlike that of merely a cluster of photo services.

Jim richer building the Actor's Annex TheatreJim Richer is a photographer who has built a strong following not only from his renowned talent as a photographer, but also from his many years in front of the camera.

He began his Career in "the business" touring as a lead singer in a popular band out of Syracuse, New York His experiences were unforgettable and helped him develop a real appreciation for music and performing for live audiences. This love of live performances lead him to pursue a career in Theatre and eventually found himself being lured to the bright lights of both on and off Broadway productions.

After much success, Jim traded in his subway tokens for the excitement of Hollywood, California. This proved to be a wise decision for all of us who can remember the day heartthrob, soap star "Stephan" was introduced to us.

As he continued to pursue his acting career, a print and commercial campaign for Asbach Uralt introduced Jim to the process of still photography. This transition from the moving camera to the still, is when Jim discovered his true passion for photography.

As he continued to study and develop as an artist, his love for creating art, instead of being the art, led him to permanent position behind the camera. His many years of experience as an actor has helped him to develop his unique ability to give actors and models the freedom and guidance they need to let go and be themselves.

"So many models try to be something they think others will like. They don't realize that Their individuality is the only talent that no one else will ever be able to learn. I make sure that they realize they are enough and how by just allowing the camera to see who they are will produce photos that will stay with people long after they close the magazine." -Jim Richer

I've experienced this first hand, and his ability to instill confidence is unmistakable.

Jim Credits his continued success to his desire to give back to his community.
He has Always made time in his schedule to donate his talents and energy to a long list of valuable Causes. A few that remain close to his heart include "Shaquile O'neil @ The Biggest Book in the World" which promotes the importance of literacy. Another favorite is the Ivar California Youth Theatre which Ray Bradbury's world premier of "Frost and Fire" Featured Michael York and honorary member Martin Landau and continues to teach tolerance though theatre. I met Jim at a fund-raiser for Breast Cancer in which stars such as Leslie Charlie(Monica Quartermaine from general Hospital) expressed their appreciation for Jim's coverage which increases awareness for continued research to find a cure.

Casting Director Workshop at Thexposure Studio's Outdoor Set ComplexAs a journalist who interviews "Hollywood" types every other day, it was refreshing to meet someone who doesn't reek of pretension. His childlike energy and his intense attention to detail are as much a dichotomy as is his success in this ego lead business. As much as I was impressed with his talent, and his lack of desire to name drop, his willingness to teach and help those around him was just as impressive. His desire to balance his schedule with celebrities as beginners alike keeps him both creative and accessible. I know we will be reporting his continued success for years to come...
